Anesthesiology is a specialized branch of medicine that uses drugs or other agents to cause the body to not feel pain. Anesthesiology may also be defined as continuity of patient care involving preoperative evaluation, intraoperative and postoperative care, and the management of systems and personnel that support these activities. Orlando Health has board certified anesthesiologists in-house, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for surgery, emergencies and obstetrical analgesia and anesthesia.
The Department Of Anesthesiology in Pride Hospital is well equipped with all the modern and state of the art facilities and served by well and varied experienced Anesthesiologists. The department is well integrated with all of our other departments in its services.
The anesthesia department aims and strives for excellent and efficient quality services in various areas of its activity and involvement. The goal is keeping the patient as satisfied and a happy one with maximum comfort levels.
The department of anesthesia provides anesthesia service to all the surgical patients that extend from pre-operative period to post operative period including acute pain management 24X7. It also provides anesthesia services to remote areas like endoscopy, MRD, CT scan, ESWL, Cathlab and Emergency Room.
The Anesthesia department comprises qualified Consultant, Specialist, Nurses, Technologist and Technicians.
Anesthesia department is equipped with advanced technologies which enables them to overcome the most challenging and high risk cases. This is advised due to availability of latest Anesthesia machines, fiber optic bronchoscopes, ultrasound machines, video laryngoscopes, Target controlled Anesthesia (TCI) patient controlled analgesia (PCA)
